Job Description:
DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Map pole owners' pole/site locations per the specifications of
the pole owner to properly note the requirements in Metronet
systems without instruction. Ensuring all required poles are
accounted for.
- Project manage assigned markets and know how to submit with all
pole owners acting as back up when needed.
- Coordinate, create and document necessary contracts with
fielding and Engineering Companies/departments and required PE's to
complete permitting packaging.
- Collaborate with external engineers to get Professional
Engineer stamp of approval to allows submission to pole
owners.
- Submit permit packaging to Pole Owners with PE Stamp to
authorize access to attach to the pole utilizing multiple systems
as requested by pole owner: Alden One, NJUNS, Katapult, Spans,
Spida.
- Create and maintain established time frames set forth in PAA
with pole owner to ensure make ready estimates are provided in a
timely manner.
- Follow up with pole owners without any instructions to ensure
make ready estimates and invoices addressing issues that may
arise.
- Collaborate with make ready department to ensure the pole
owner's make ready estimate is processed, any changes needed and
communicated back to the pole owner. Ensure all latest documents
are uploaded in the poles app.
- Mediate between the pole owner, engineering, and make ready
groups as needed to ensure the process doesn't stall.
- Monitor systems for application, engineering, and make ready
invoices for payment to external pole owners in a timely manner
without follow up.
- Communicate with the pole owner to establish what is being
invoiced to code for proper cost assignments and verify correct
amounts are being invoiced.
- Generate professional reports for external pole owners,
construction crews, management teams to provide status on pole
submittals.
- All other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High school or GED required.
- 3 years of experience in telecom or related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and
Nuance.
- Knowledge of Nuance specifically strongly preferred.
- Intermediate level knowledge with topographic sheets or maps
required.
- Navigate stressful situations to favorable outcomes.
- Preferred previous project management experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
