Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the production support
of middleware technologies (ex. IBM Datapower, Azure APIM),
configuration of these platforms, operational support,
documentation of processes/ resolutions where applicable. Essential
Functions
- Production Support of middleware technologies (ex. IBM
Datapower, Azure APIM), configuration of these platforms,
operational support, documentation of processes/ resolutions where
applicable.
- Monitor production/QA/test environments and collaborate with
other teams to resolve any issues that come up.
- Provide advice regarding configurations/improvements of
existing configs in existing/new middleware platforms that we will
be using.
- Lead problem resolution and process improvement efforts in the
middleware landscape.
- Keep open channels of communication with other frontend/backend
application teams, developers, and other EA, Compute,
Infrastructure teams in the enterprise.
- Look for avenues for potential automation opportunities in
middleware processes.
- Be available to address any P1, P2, or P3 production issues -
even outside business hours. Education DescriptionBachelor's degree
in Computer Science/Information Systems or related Discipline
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Middleware platform(s),
and should have the ability to analyze, rectify, and perform root
cause analysis quickly for any production integration issues.
- Good knowledge of application programming interfaces, including
API concepts such as SOAP, REST, and OpenAPI.
- Good Knowledge of OAUTH, public key cryptography (SSL/TLS), ssl
key encryption, decryption process.
- Good understanding of XSLT, Xpath, & Regular Expressions.
- Basic understanding of the OSI Network model, firewalls, and
networked computer communication.
- Basic/intermediate understanding of public clouds (Azure,
GCP).
- Knowledge of Shell Scripts, Perl, or Python.
- Experience in driving resolution of complex issues while
working with multiple teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to deal with
different teams in the organization including external
customers.
- Experience working in Windows, Linux environments.
- Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Have the urge to learn new technologies and accept challenges.
