large.What is the role about?This Workforce Development Partner
role is tasked with connecting to the future of our talent,
primarily with local school (K-12) students, as well as with
colleges and universities. This role's main purpose is to generate
awareness and engagement in the local community for STEM, Trades,
Manufacturing, and the Process Industry. The Workforce Development
Partner focusing on future talent will work alongside the Director
of Workforce Development as well as an additional Workforce
Development Partner focused on early career talent.Which tasks will
you perform?
- Serve as the primary ambassador for schools local to
Endress+Hauser business operations to proactively generate
excitement & enthusiasm for STEM Education and awareness of
incredible futures and opportunities in the Process Automation
industry.
- Create awareness and vibrant networking channels among school
career counselors, STEM educators, and administrators to bring
awareness of advanced manufacturing careers.
- Provide opportunities (such as the Community Career+Education
Forum) for parents to learn about today's manufacturing companies
and the myriad of careers within.
- Develop programs, techniques, and educational tools for
age-appropriate audiences to create awareness to process industry
and STEM principles using the Endress+Hauser campus, as well as
school sites and events. These programs would include usage of lab
equipment, hardware, software, materials for students, and would
align with school standards and lessons.
- Manage the operation of the Purdue IN-MaC Innovation Studio
including expenditures/budgets, usage requests, coordination of
NEXUS Early Career Associate volunteers, as well as appropriate
maintenance and equipment updates and upgrades.
- Foster relationships and partnerships for select colleges and
universities to introduce and promote Endress+Hauser, and the
industry to students, professors, and administration.
- Support Workforce Development programs such as job shadows,
internships, co-ops, and apprenticeships.
- Collaborate with industry partners and community organizations
to create synergy and assist one another in the similar critical
mission for our companies to connect with early talent pipelines:
e.g. - Rockwell Automation, Amatrol, SACA, MCAA, ISA/Automation
Federation, FESTO, E+H Reps, FIRST, as well as local entities like
Aspire Johnson Co. Talent groups
- Develop and implement program evaluation and analysis to track
progress, measure success of the program, and implement
improvements. (ex: initial attendance figures, rates of retention,
and ultimate post-secondary and career choices).
- Seek sources of Federal, State, and Local grant funding related
to the program and the Innovation Studio.What do we expect from
you?You will have (required):
- Bachelor's degree in Technical/Engineering/Education
discipline
- 3+ years process instrumentation and/or technical education
experience
- Desire to work with and mentor school age students (K-12)
- Regular travel to area school systems; some air travel to
regional area schoolsYou may have (preferred):
- Background in areas such as STEM teaching, training, talent
development, and/or sales
- Experience working with college and university students and
faculty
- Prioritizes the customer (student/educator) perspective in
business decisions by actively seeking to understand customer
(student/educator) needs and problems, initiating solutions based
on this understanding, and implementing feedback to enhance the
overall experience and prevent future issues
- Builds and maintains strong, trustworthy business
relationships, leveraging long-term partnerships to achieve
collective success
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and self-motivation, taking pride in
their work and channeling energy into achieving tasks with a strong
sense of ownership
- Ability to work and make informed decisions independently and
