Job Description:
Job Summary: We are seeking an expert Senior Account Manager to
drive NI's sales efforts within the Department of Defense (DoD)
sector. The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record of
success in selling sophisticated technical solutions to DoD
accounts, with deep expertise in radar, electronic warfare (EW),
and RF technologies. This role will involve building and
implementing strategic account plans, driving roadmaps, developing
both short and long-term sales pipelines, and leading a
geographically diverse territory covering NI's top Radar/EW focused
DoD accounts.In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Account Ownership : Lead and grow direct sales to key DoD
customers, building positive relationships with partners across
radar, EW, and RF programs.
- Pipeline Development : Identify and qualify new business
opportunities, developing a robust short and long-term pipeline to
meet and exceed sales targets.
- Strategic Roadmap Influence : Work closely with internal
customers to drive product roadmaps and ensure alignment with
customer requirements in defense technologies, including radar and
EW.
- Sophisticated Solution Proposals : Collaborate with
cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management,
and operations, to propose tailored solutions that address
sophisticated technical challenges.
- Territory Management : Lead all aspects of a large, multi-state
or regional territory, ensuring consistent customer engagement and
high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration and Leadership : Act as a liaison between the
customer and NI's internal teams to ensure successful project
execution and long-term partnership development.
- Market Expertise : Keep abreast of trends and developments in
DoD procurement, radar/EW programs, and emerging defense
technologies.Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Proven track record of successfully selling into DoD accounts,
with a strong understanding of DoD procurement processes.
- Expertise in radar, electronic warfare (EW), and RF systems,
with a solid understanding of defense applications.
- 8+ years of experience in technical sales or account management
in the defense or aerospace sectors.
- Strong ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales
processes and develop customized solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a large territory while
exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability
to interface effectively at all levels of an organization.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field;
